TASK TWO (AC & GT) - ANSWERS
Loads of people consider pollution to be a massive problem nowadays.
A number of people consider pollution to be a significant problem nowadays.
There's a lot of kids who don't go to school.
A significant number of children do not attend school.
For example, many of my mates ride bikes instead of hopping on the bus.
For example, many of my friends ride bicycles instead of taking the bus.
And some others agree with me too.
In addition, some others agree with this idea.
Tips!
- Avoid colloquial language (BUNCH / LOADS / WANNA)
- Avoid abbreviations and contractions (THERE'S / DON'T / THANKS A LOT)
- Avoid starting sentences with (AND / BUT / SO)
- Avoid INFORMAL NOUNS (KIDS / STUFF / MATES / CASH / BOSS / BITS)
- Avoid INFORMAL VERBS (QUIT / HOP (on a bus) / SUCKS)
- Avoid INFORMAL ADVERBS (WELL / SUPER-FAST)
- Avoid ADJECTIVES which are too "emotional" (MASSIVE problem)
- Only use personal pronouns (I / me) when giving your OPINION (I THINK).
- NEVER use smiley faces :) in IELTS writing!
